CEO & Chairman of the Board
C. Geoffrey Hampson – In his 35-plus year career as an entrepreneur and investor, Geoff Hampson has been involved in a variety of different businesses throughout the world, including construction, technology, mining and marketing businesses in a number of situations from startups to turn-arounds to industry consolidations. His success in attracting and retaining strong management teams has enabled him to transform businesses into sector leaders. Geoff started Fibrox Technology Ltd, in Thetford Mines, Quebec in 1995.
Russell D. Craig – Russ Craig joined Fibrox Inc. in August 2007 initially as a project consultant providing technical advice to Armstrong World Industries (AWI) during the design, construction and commissioning of the $50 million, state-of-art mineral wool manufacturing facility in Millwood, West Virginia. After the facility’s start-up in March 2012, he worked as a liaison, coordinating various production, inventory, logistics and warehousing matters between Fibrox and AWI before being named President in 2015.
Russ joined Fibrox with extensive marketing and leadership experience in the international metals and mining industries, having retired from one of the world’s leading manganese and nickel producers after serving for 9 years as the President and CEO of their US manganese smelting and refining operations.
Vice President – Business Development
Christopher Hampson – Chris Hampson joined the Fibrox Team in 2012 after having graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He came on board at a critical moment in Fibrox’s growth stemming from the completion of the Millwood facility. His interest in domestic and international travel makes him the ideal partner to our customers, who benefit from many face-to-face meetings and the type of support not found in other corporations. Additionally, the multi-talented Chris offers technical support, creative solutions and attention to detail in all aspects of account management.
Chief Financial Officer
James P. Taylor – James brings a wealth of experience in financial and general management in several industries from startups and growing businesses to established organizations. Most recently, James served as CFO for Cyber Development Group International, LLC, an early stage business in the Internet Infrastructure space. His career achievements include being responsible for the IPO of PEER 1 Network Enterprises Inc., where he managed several equity and debt financings as well as a major recapitalization. The company’s revenue grew from approximately $1 million to over $70 million during his tenure with the company. James graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting and earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in International Business and Corporate Finance from DePaul University.
Customer Service Specialist
Catalina Sossa – Catalina recently joined Fibrox as our Customer Services Specialist. Catalina comes to Fibrox from Motic Instruments, Inc., where she was in charge of customer service for the US, Canada and Latin American dealer channels.
Her prior work experience includes creating a customer service department, managing call center operations, assisting on marketing campaigns, leading ISO certification processes, managing product exports, consulting on customer satisfaction projects and various administrative projects.
Catalina has a Master’s degree in Knowledge Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She is a high-energy performer and possesses excellent customer service skills. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Catalina lives in Vancouver where she is an active volunteer in her community.
Aziz Rehman – Aziz reports to the CFO and is responsible for operational accounting, management accounting, financial accounting and planning and implementing management policies. He is a senior accounting / business solutions professional with 15 years of diverse and valuable experience, having received foundational mentorship under a proficiency expert, skilled in customizing and personalizing systems and reporting in order to increase organizational efficiency and (ultimately) profitability.
Aziz started working for Fibrox in February 2016. Prior to joining the team, he worked in public practice, junior oil and gas/mining and parking management in the capacity of accountant.
Aziz has a Bachelor of Commerce and an advanced certificate in accounting. He is perusing CPA designation, having already completed all academic requirements for CPA in Canada while currently finishing other requirements. Aziz is a Canadian citizen, is married and has two children.
