In 2010, in partnership with Armstrong World Industries, construction began on this $50 million, 35,000 square-foot state-of-the-art mineral fiber manufacturing facility located in Millwood, West Virginia. Operations began in 2012 and since that time, Fibrox has provided its customers with the highest purity mineral fiber in the world.
The facility, which is the first of its scope and nature built in the US in decades, serves as an example of “new” manufacturing in the states, which places an emphasis on high efficiency and environmental sustainability. The plant features an extremely small footprint and boasts a virtually 100% closed loop production process, which reuses waste materials created in an upstream manufacturing process to reduce overall waste and produce viable goods.
